I am a Cherokee midwife and keeper of stories, lifetime volunteer for C.A.S.A. I have enjoyed a lifetime of preserving simple and sacred birth. I birthed my daughters at home and have helped thousands of other wimyn find empowerment through instinctual birth. I have served on State, National and International Boards helping to oversee the development and preservation of midwifery certification programs. I am the founder of a spiritual retreat center (Retreat Centre Personal Retreats) and author of books related to instinctual and spiritual living (The Power of Women, 2009). I live as a Cherokee Hermitess and Catholic Mystic in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. I am a woodland mystic; a historian; a keeper of stories; a story teller; a preserver of the sacred feminine, of ritual, of ceremony; a sojourner in the inner life of wimyn; a wild womyn, mother, midwife and healer; a priestess of many names.

My current passions are instinctual living as a Cherokee Mystic, Teaching Basic Disaster Birth Support, Creation of an International Birth Guide for global citizens to be translated into world languages, Creation and teaching Physiological Resuscitation of the Newborn and continuing to write MorningStar Midwifery, the Mystical Life of Birth. All these projects and many others are my passions to keep simple and sacred birth alive against the pressures of the modern current, which teach the opposite. The heart and soul of my work is loving my ancestors, my children and grandchildren and myself.
