Elizabeth Davis is the mother of 3 (1 grandchild born at home), a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), an author, women's health care specialist, educator, consultant, and inspirational speaker. She is internationally active as a world-renowned expert on midwifery practice and regulation, female sexuality, reproductive health issues, and birth-related traumas.

Elizabeth was a representative to the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) for five consecutive years. She also served as president for the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC). She is a co-founder of the MEAC accredited National Midwifery Institute, Inc., and is a regular speaker at Midwifery Today international conferences.

In 2004, Elizabeth received the California Association of Midwives’ “Brazen Woman Award.”

In 2015, Elizabeth received Midwifery Today’s “Lifetime Achievement Award for Service to MotherBaby.”
